Objective: This activity aims to maintain and improve the network of experts on spill and HNS response in the Atlantic Area, fostering the involvement of new members, specially from the industrial sector, through the support of effective information, data exchange and management tools, and by the capitalization of existing experience in oil, HNS and inert pollution spills at sea in the Atlantic regions. Additionally, activity 6 will support local SME involvement in oil and HNS response and in new markets.
Actions: 6.1. Strengthening the network with acquired experience and expertise: - 6.1.1 Development and implementation of a strategic plan to reinforce and consolidate the network. - 6.1.2 Compilation of information on relevant studies to produce user friendly inventories that facilitate the access to key resources. 6.2. Supporting local SME involvement in oil and HNS response and new markets: - 6.2.1 Characterisation of the needs and industrial sector. - 6.2.2 Elaboration of a database gathering firms, equipment and services available on project area market. - 6.2.3 Dissemination of project information among potentially interested SMEs in the Atlantic area. - 6.2.4 Elaboration of a guideline.
