SEACAMS is a collaborative project of Bangor University together with Swansea University and Aberystwyth University. The project aims to promote economic activity, growth of SMEs and generate jobs through the expansion of commercial opportunities and activities in the marine sector in Wales. This will be achieved by expanding activities relating to climate change mitigation and adaptation in the Low carbon Economy in order to increase wealth creation within the Convergence Region of Wales. It addresses EQA applications, such as the measurement of coastal water quality, impacts of pathogens in the hydrological cycle, siting and assessment of outfalls, measurement of coastal pollution and impacts of natural events such as harmful algal blooms.
