ARCOPOLplatform continues supporting local and regional authorities in the elaboration and implementation of their contingency plans so as to:

• Increase coastal communities’ awareness;
• Integrate into contingency plans best practices, guides and tools developed in ARCOPOLplus or in other projects;
• Extend the implementation of Local Contingency Plans to a wider constituency of Natural Protected Areas and municipalities;
• Promote networking among neighbouring municipalities to create synergies, improve their joint response capabilities and support the implementation of their contingency plans.
